I've done it with V-8 motors. Looks scarey but they hold great. It just
bolts the same place as the tranny and I bought Grade 5 bolts.

I've purchased an engine stand to assist in my engine rebuild in the
next few weeks, but must admit I don't know how/where to attach it the
the engine block.

The transmission will be coming off the engine block hopefully this
weekend as well as the starter, manifolds, etc.

Where do I bolt the stand to the engine block at? What grade/size of
bolt should I use? I'm a little concerned that there will only be four
of those puppies suspending my engine from the ground!!
