Nelson-
My '71 TR6 CC 57787L (build date Oct '70) was set up the same way. That
confirms that it wasn't the DPO. I too had a plug in the front carb. I have
since disconnected the vac-retard and found a NOS bit to thread into the
front carb. I now have vac-advanced hooked up.
