After a lengthy scatterbrained approach to chasing down my non-working turn
signal flasher problem, I finally found the problem -- just a disconnected
connector from the wires leading from the steering column (and presumably the
activating lever). I must have pulled it loose somehow, but I don't know.
(Guess I could have saved myself a lot of time by checking for power at the
column stalk to begin with.) A few ny-ties later, the wires are all better
tucked up and out of the way.
There is a benefit from this bonanza to report -- as per my LBC shop's
recommendation, I'm using the Lucas hazard flasher unit as a replacement for
my turn flasher, because it produces a better (faster) flash on my generally
older electrical system.
