tr7/tr8 5 speed question.

 A friend of mine is putting a Rover V8 into a TR7. The car has a 5speed to
begin with. Is the bellhousing the same for the V8 and the 4cyl? I.E. will
the tranny bolt up to the existing 5 speed? My understanding is that it does
or am I missing something..
