No direct experience with turbines. It's my understanding they have
not replaced modern HVLP guns as the tool of choice for auto
repainters. ISTR the reason is because they heat up the air and
thence the paint. With the air/paint at a higher temperature, orange
peel results. Most repainters are committed to color sand & buff
anyway, but it's far less work if the paint flows out smoothly.
