quick clutch question.... which way round

the fiction plate on my new B&B clutch
for my '75 Triumph Spitfire
is not symmetrical in regards to the springs
and the center section. (they stick out farther
on one side than the other.) 'offset' splined
section go. ?
does the offset go towards the engine
or towards the tranny?

(..waiting patiently as my tranny is ready to go in....
hands still greasy typing this)
