Hi All,
I pulled my right, front hub last night to inspect and repack the bearings
for the first time. After a thorough cleaning, they look fine. My question
concerns the felt seal.
The felt sits in a little cap and appeared to be glued in place. I've
cleaned the cap and need to reinstall the felt.
Does it need to be glued back in, or does it just sit on the cap? If it
needs adhesive, what should be used?
The felt was dry when removed. Should it be coated in engine oil for
reassembly?
