Since the tranny is coming out, I will rebuilt whatever is needed
on the
J type OD [presume this is primarily o-rings in the pump]. Would

I recently helped out Phil Brzozoski with a J-type OD bug. We
both thought the slipping OD was for the symptoms you mention.
But Phil disassembled the unit and found that the clutch material
on the cone clutch had been eaten away by a flaw on the other
piece (annulus on an A-type).
