Carl,

I have had exactly the same treatment from other U.K. suppliers, in my
case for prewar MG parts. I get all my TR3 parts in N. America, mainly
from Moss from whom I have had good service almost always (no
connection).

The Golden Rule for ordering from anywhere is ALWAYS FAX or MAIL your
order with the supplier's PART #s or DESCRIPTIONs; then follow up with a
telephone call to find out what:
- they no longer stock, or
- is out of stock, or
- they recommend as an alternative
THEN fax, etc subsequent mods so that they have no opportunity of
arguing that you ordered what they mistakenly sent you.
This applies to ALL suppliers of ancient car parts in all countries -
not just LBC.

Please believe that the Brits treat us no worse than they do their
fellow UK residents.

.... Pat (expatriate Brit, now Canadian)
