The answer depends a little on which car and year. If your solenoid
only has one small terminal, one of the switch leads goes on that
terminal, the other goes on the big wire to the battery. You can
connect it either at the battery or at the solenoid, makes no
difference. If you have a later TR6 with two small terminals on the
solenoid, I believe the switch lead goes on the terminal nearest the
engine (the other still goes on the battery lead). It won't hurt to
experiment, so try it one way, and if that doesn't work, move the switch
lead to the other small terminal.
