Hello,
Just a quick note to say "hello" and that I am new to
the List-
A quick history of the car I just aquired...
Back in 1967, Triumph used to offer a package in
which you bought a car at a USA dealership, and took
delivery in England, at the factory. Well, my father
did this, and made it his Honeymoon.. he drove the car
(a TR4A with IRS and overdrive) around Great Britan
for a few weeks, and then brought it back to the
States, where he drove it on weekends until 1975. Then
he had a problem with the rocker arms, and never fixed
it. And then it sat. And Sat. It has a total of 26,000
miles on it- but is in need of a total restoration. He
still has all of the Documentation, as well as a bunch
of photos of him and my Mom in England with the car.
I'm probably going to do a frame off and I'm sure I
will need the lists help. it is pretty rough (needs
floors, rust around the front fender seams, and boot.)
I'm sure once I start dis-assembling, it will need
MUCH MUCH more. Although I must save it- just to keep
it in the family, and to allow my dad to drive it
again.
I know I currently need a grille- I saw someone had
one for sale- that would be a nice piece to have-
but I still have to get everything else-
thanks!
