One thing is clear... the behavior of the belt is NOT normal. The brokren
jumping belt may not have been the right one to begin with. The TR4 engine
uses an unusually wide belt with a certain V profile. You can get them
locally... but you need a generic part number and length. Maybe someone will
supply the info.
TRF and MOSS will overnight ship the exact belt. Buy 2 so you have a backup.
Normally the car will go for 30K+ miles with a hint of belt trouble if it is
installed and tensioned properly.
