>Has anyone had any experience with oil coolers for a TR4? Moss sells one and

The adaptor that comes with the Moss oil cooler is secured to the block
with special machined fixings. THe adaptor doesn't have much sealing
surface and the fixings have rounded shoulders that do not help keeping
the oil from leaking. The fixings are made from a soft steel and will
break if you over tighten them to stop the adaptor from leaking.
So when using the Moss adaptor, use a gasket and lots of ultra blue
gasket maker, but to not put much torque on those special fixings.
I suggest the oil cooler offered by TSI Automotive.
