Look for a bad ground. I have seen this several times after acquiring "new"
triumphs. Clean all the grounds on tail lights (the lil fingers on the bulb
holders) and the grounding of the tail light body to the car itself. The
offending light is finding ground back through one of the other bulbs,
through the wiring to the other side of the car, and to ground through the
corresponding bulb on that other side. Energize that bulbs circuit and the
badly behaved bulb loses its path to ground. Clean it all up and it'll work
fine.

Todays problem: lol. nite rear red running light works, but when the brake
is applied it goes out ( no brake light)tested the bulb and both filaments
work, so its not the bulb. right side is fine.
anybody else ever experience this?
