Actually, the Rover aluminum V8s are not all that rare. Certainly not as
common as Ford or Chevy, but you should have no trouble at all finding one.
Just this last week, two of them showed up for sale on the MGBV8
autox.team.net list. A few vendors have them for sale in the British V8
Newsletter (see the newsletter website in my sig line below). As a matter of
interest, TVR now sells a car with a 5 liter version of this engine - same
block, just punched out to 302ci.
