SoCal Triumph dealer?

Hi,

In a box of  stuff (junk to just about anyone else)  that came with my
TR-3A was a license plate holder that says "Long Beach" on the top, and
"Jamestown" on the bottom.  I have heard that some years ago Jamestown
was a Triumph dealer in Southern California.   Can anyone verify this?
If so, that could be where my TR was purchased by the first owner?.  Not
real important stuff, but it would be nice to know...
