Well, if all you want to do is change the "valving" , i.e. the bunp and rebound
resistance, then you
can look at my web page on the subject.

If they are worn out, then buy new "heavy duty" versions.

Subject: Armstrong shocks
I am looking for advice on rebuilding a pair of Armstrong rear lever action
shocks for my '59 TR3A. I would like to find valves that would make them a
bit stiffer. Does anyone know of a source for competition valves?
