Here comes an interesting thread...

I did the research as well. Grease was the recommendation. I use Valvoline
Synthetic Racing Grease for all applications on the TR's.

It's my understanding (and the shop manual's as well) that the TR6 rack is
filled with a grease gun.
If so what type of grease?
I used 90 wt gear lube oil in my Tiger rack, which is very similar looking
unit.
