Gentlefolk,
A friend of mine is preparing to repaint his 1960 model 3A, which was
originally Powder Blue. His problem is that virtually every panel on the car
is a different shade, and he is not sure which is the true colour. He has the
Dockers paint number CGB77; the ICI HILUX number M-048-8013 and the other
codes mentioned in Bill Piggott's "Original Triumph TR" book, but the paint
shops he has spoken to over here have no idea what he is talking about.
Can anyone decode the above numbers and determine the recipe for Powder Blue,
i.e just what is in the paint mix ??
As always, any help would be appreciated.
