It's true, I now live in SoCA. But, when I bought my first TR, which was my
daily driver even in the winter, I lived in northern Indiana. It wore snow
chains more than once !
I'm no stranger to salt, rust, and snow drifts many times bigger than the
car. (The year I left, there was a 27 foot snowdrift across the road between
my parents house and Purdue. Took almost a week for the road crews to load
it into trucks and haul it away.)
But, I'll admit, I owned a top, side curtains, and a souped-up heater then
