Greetings,
Last season I noticed oil leakage under my "73 TR6. What a
surprise!
Actually, this car leaks far less than my old Toymota daily driver.
The engine and trans are out now (other reasons), so I am able
to clearly see that this is a transmission leak, but not from the front or
rear seal, but apparently from the top cover. The source of the leak
seems to be where the 3 selector rods emerge from the top cover.
There are "sealing rings" shown in TRF's parts book. Just wondering
if anyone else had experienced this leakage, and if replacing the
sealing rings cured the leak. Is it a difficult job?
Any Advise Appreciated,
Regards,
Rick Barnard
