Great opportunity.
Alternately, combine #1 and #2 and provide a scholarship for a continuing ed
student at the VoTech or Voc Ed program. Maybe you'll end up creating
another british car mechanic, always need more of those. Or provide a
scholarship to a local college student who uses a british car as transport to
school, regardless of the school. That kid will need the money.... ;-)
The Great Race thing would surely be fun, and is pretty high profile. Finally
I know some car clubs (esp. pre-war clubs) sponsor 'ride days' at rest homes,
great trip back in time since everyone apparently owned one of our cars -- or
her brother did, or his girlfriend's dad.... ;-) You could provide a catered
lunch
while you're at it, though a british menu might be a bit risky.
