I know this is a TR list, and I don't usually do this, but this is another
powder coat question, and the subject line says it all -
I am considering powder coating rather than painting the lower unit on my 6
Hp Johnson outboard. I was just wondering about any potential problems
that I might be getting into. None of the major outboard manufacturers do
this to my knowledge, and there must be a reason (although it may be just
cost thing). My thinking was that it would certainly be more durable and
easier to take care of but just wondered if anybody had any other info
before I attempt this - you know, like it would cause corrosion to start
under the coating from inside etc.
Again, sorry for the NON LBC content I just figured somebody may have been
there already -
