Dave-
This style is stock on Heralds and Spitfires, as the boot lid is just a
single stamped metal piece, and this de-flimsyizes it.(There's a word fer
ya!) (Sheet metal gets its strength from the stamping- the more stamping,
the more rigid it becomes. Spits and Heralds just have a folded edge and in
the case of Heralds, 1 recessed panel on back, so withiout that "X" frame,
it sort of flollops around when lifted.)
