I would go with the offer of the member to repair. If you're not 
comfortable doing it yourself, then don't. Finding a rust free tub
is near to impossible unless you buy the entire car.

My '59 TR3 restoration is similar, but it is my rear inner panels
that are "rough" versus the front. Nothing that is beyond repair
but allot of welding and some patching needs to be done (e.g., 
both bottom 6" of the dog legs are gone, so I bought one
replacement dog leg and will use that to mirror the fabrication
of the lower 8" of the other side). I have a friend who is currently
unemployed that is/will be doing the welding for me.

Just my humble opinion.
