For M$ Windoze users, there's another tool "Email Remover" that does the
same thing via the SMTP interface that is supported by almost all mail
servers, and the Windows GUI interface you're accustomed to.
I like to use it to delete large emails (after retrieving them at work
over a T1).
It's not open source, but is freeware, available at
http://www.eremover.bizhosting.com/ for Win 95/98/NT (probably also
2000/ME)
