For those with problems with too much off-topic, and similar comment(s), I
suggest that you use the TELNET protocol into your server. My server
supports the "PINE" mail tool (very old, from the University of
Washington), which is open source, or a freebee from them. Get a copy of
PCPine at the U of Washington computer site.
Telnet to your server, then use PINE. This displays ONLY the subject
headers. You can then simply mark all those messages which you have no
desire to read with a "d" and then quit PINE. All those marked will be
removed from the list. You can likewise read those you wish to read, in
PINE. PINE, being older, is a text-only system, so shows no graphics.
However, what I do, is that once I have left PINE, I then bring up my
Netscape browser, and download the remaining messages, which are only
those I wish to read.
