Reverse Light Switch on TR4

Listers,
Has anyone every applied a reverse light switch to the TR4
transmission? I have a late TR4A. It looks like the shifter assy could
use the standard reverse switch installed in the hole occupied in the
TR6.

I'm in the middle of a complete redo and need to know if it's worth
the effort to add "reverse" lighting, as I get ready to put the wire
harness in.
