List,
I washed the TR6 today - I wanted it to look good, as I was going to
look at a load of Jags from the UK that have been touring South Africa,
and very fine they were too. Not Triumphs though.
Anyway, the bucket I used had apparently (I now discover) been used by
the missus for soaking a shirt that had been in a wash that had run, and
it had soaked in Epsom salts. When I washed the car, some water sat on
the horizontal surfaces, and where it did, the paint is discoloured. It
has gone from red to a duller, purpler colour. It looks like water
marks, but it won't wash out. I've also tried polishing it out with a
standard car polish, without success.
Can anyone help?
Thanks
Paul
