I'm wondering if this route isn't more the piece of semtex to crack a nut? Like others in the recent past, I've just completed the instrument cleaning function. Removed 30+ years of crud from inside the glasses and fitted new bulbs. Amazing difference! Previously panel rheostat was turned to maximum, now at half power and could well go lower. It wasn't so much a question of dirt behind the glasses but severe blackening of the original bulbs. Jonmac |
