I don't agree with the statement below. I've used both new rubber mounts and
poly mounts on my many TR6's and TR250's since 1977.  There is no additional
noise with the poly mounts. There is no downside to the poly mounts that I
can determine, only upside. Not only will the poly mounts not increase the
risk of cracks, the reduced movement of the diff will reduce that risk.
