OK, time to get up in front of the class and give my report. Took off and plugged the vacuum retard line on my Weber downdraft equipped TR6. No change in the idle speed. Timing was previously set (with vacuum retard disconnected) to 10 deg. BTDC. Drivablity seems improved- better off idle performance and stronger pull in the 2500-4000 rpm range. Looks like this one worked for me. Paul Burr BTW- I topped of my dead rear shocks with 15 weight motorcycle shock oil. What a difference! They responded quite nicely to the treatment and the $10 total cost makes the cheapskate in me really smile! |
