TR3 Fuel Leak

I don't understand how you can lift the flex line to the oil gauge off of
the
hard line, still have pressure on the gauge, and not have a major oil leak.

I sure don't understand it either.  The nut on the back of the gage was
slightly loose and I found a little oil on the outside.  I tightened that.
Believe me, the flex line will be tightened before I'm done.  In any case, I
have decided to go the modern route with electric pump and regulator, and
ordered them last night on line from JC Whitney.  I will remove the old pump
and make a cover plate and gasket.  That's a good idea about buying a new
sediment bowl.  Thanks.
