>On my TR7 can I remove the oil pressure switch from the oil transfer unit
and
run a tube for an oil pressure gauge into there instead?

Any suggestions on brand of gauge that will fit/is recommended, and how
about
electrical versus actual oil going up the gauge tube?

As usual, thanks in advance.

Why not? That's what I did on my TR8. I just got a below dash model and
mounted it below the dash near the center console.

All the previous model TR's had mechanical gauges with sense lines running
into the passenger compartment. What's a TR without the prospect of
getting an oil bath? Actually, I would prefer an electric gauge but the
auto parts store I visited only had the mechanical model. My installation
is only temporary but you know how temporary goes.

Dave
