If you haven't disturbed the sealing block, and it doesn't appear to
leak, I'd leave it alone. It's usually somewhat difficult to remove,
and will likely tear the front plate gasket when it comes out.
If you do R&R it, use gasket shellac or Hylomar on both sides of the
pads and on the front of the block.
