TR-3 Grab Handle

My TR-3 was purchased sans Grab Handle, I have it,but it is not 
installed.  Thinking I could easily do this myself, I find that when 
the handle is in place there is no way to open the Glove box...the 
only solution I can think of is to cut slots in the Vinyl for the 
Handle mounting points and "perhaps" this will give enough clearance 
for the Glove box to open.

Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.
