>I have an electric fuel pump.

Run a fuel pressure test. Lots of those electric pumps are high volume
pumps that run in the 7 to 14 pound pressure range. Your carbs prefer
the 2 to 3 pound pressure range. Could be the pressure from your pump is
overwhelmning the float valve on the front carb. A quick cure would be a
fuel pressure regulator. Purolator makes one that is available at most
auto parts stores. Dial it in for 2.5 or 3 pounds.
