I am having trouble with the choke cables on my 74 TR6. They are the stiff type, and they have developed a weak spot so that they bend there when the choke is taken off, and the choke does not fully release. It looks like the cable is coated in solder to stiffen it. Any ideas other than putting on more solder that might work? It can't be too thick because the cable has to retract inside the shield.
