I was waiting to hear an answer on this as I have the same problem and was at a
point where I needed to do something about it.  I had already adjusted the
bonnet as far forward as possible but still had interference.

Hearing nothing (other than others do not have this problem) I removed the vent
lid and slightly ovalled the mounting holes to permit the vent lid to be
installed a bit further back.  There was already slop in the hinge holes which
allowed some adjustment, I just added another 1/16" or so.  This adjustment was
enough to resolve the problem.
