Speaking of wheels and rim design...I have eight or nine TR-3 disc wheels
laying around, and I noticed a couple of them have a larger, more curved
"outer rim lip" than the others (almost to the point of there being a 180
degree lip arc). Are there different styles of TR-3 disc wheels, or are the
two odd ones just older than the others?
Thanks, Dennis

Subject: Need TR3 wheels
Listers,
I'm looking to buy two 64-spoke wire wheels for a TR3. I
will have them rebuilt (new spokes and paint) so I don't care how the
look or if the spokes are loose. However, they must have a good hub
and good rim. Anybody got some for sale?
Bob
p.s. I know that the big three sell new wire wheels. However, as I
understand it, federally-mandated changes in wheel rim design some
years ago mean that rims on new wheels are not identical to rims on
old wheels. Since I already have 3 rebuilt old wheels, I would like
to match them with 2 more oldies (but goodies).
