Thank you, PO. You installed an aftermarket cam but
didn't bother to replace the Strombergs' needles-- you
just cranked the mixture all the way to "rich," so now
she idles like sh*t.
Gee Mr. Wizard, what do I do now? Mr. Haynes
recommends lashing her down on a dynamometer and
swapping needles until I find one that works. Great!
I'll squeeze the in dyno right next to the lift, over
by the ultrasonic parts cleaner where it won't obstruct
my view of Miss May.
Seriously, does anyone know of a methodical approach to
matching needles to a trick cam, that doesn't involve
mega-$ ?
