Dave - I vaguely remember that I had trouble getting mine to latch but it
was because I had the seal backwards. I don't have the car to look at; so
maybe someone else could check the direction of the "lip".

I just installed a nice new rubber gasket from TRF around the trunk. Now I
can't seem to get the lid to close enough to latch. Any tips? or does it
just take some extra "encouragement" to get it to compress the rubber enough
to latch.
