John:
Just purchased one myself and did a little legwork on the filters. The
recommended filter for the adapter ( or so says my parts supplier) is
manufactured by Crossland filters out of the U. K. Their filter #573 works
well. I cross referenced this in the Fram parts list and found that fram
has a direct cross referenced filter for the Crossland 573. They list it as
Fram part # PH966B. In addition, I don't know if you have "Unipart"
products in the U.S. Usually if we have it here in Canada, you have it in
the U.S. At any rate, unipart lists their filter # GFE 166 as a direct
cross reference for both the Crossland filter and the Fram unit. By a
couple when you get a hold of them. Makes it easier in the long run.

Dear list,

I finally had a chance to install the spin-on oil filter adapter on my
'75 TR6. But I can not find the appropriate oil filter for it. I have
tried 3 different sizes, they are either too wide to fit in the narrow
space or too long and hit the clutch slave cylinder. I wonder if I got
the wrong adaptor from Moss Motors. Can any body offer any insight or
help.

TIA,

Saeed.
