I replaced that valve a couple of years back on my tr6 by Simply holding the pipe with 1 pair of vice grips and turning the valve off with another pair. I used teflon tape on threads and screwed the new valve on using the same proceedure. I donot recall the cost of part but it was not expensive. Mine leaked with valve open and not when shut. |
