They just fit over the door cap. I did not glue mine as they are held in
place with the fuzzy strip clips(I think) on the top and the clips that
hold the door panel on. Mine had holes in the bottom that the panel clips
went through.

I believe this is how I did mine several years ago. Remove the window from
the door. Install the outer waist seal after removing the vent window. I
ran mine the entire length to better seal. Put the vent window back in and
the door glass but do not tighten up. Install the fuzzy seal. It only goes
to the vent window. Tighten everything up.
It was not a very easy job. But I(and wife) did it without any special tools.
