Rough Running TR6--NOT

Thanks to all who responded on my neighbor's rough running TR6.  
Following the easiest advice first, he timed the engine at 4 degrees atdc 
with the dist. vacuum hose CONNECTED (unlike the manual tells you) and 
now it runs just fine.  What a great resource!!!
