Today I fitted the wire wheels using the stainless spacers that I made.
Everything fits fine except for the thickness. I used a recomendation in
Piggott's book of 9 mm (.350"), I should have used .250' as the end of the
stud is flush with the top of the nut. I would feel more comfotable if a
thread of two protruded. So I will just have to take .100" off the
thickness. If anyone is interested in making some spacers, the overall
corrected dimensions are as follows.
Outside Diameter 5 9/16 "
Inside Diameter 2 7/8"
Bolt Hole Diameter 15/32
Bolt Circle 4.5 "
Thickness .250"
