Hi Tom
I have heard it said that for low profile Radial tyres you should reduce the
pressure about 2lb per aspect ratio change and this seems to work for the
tyres I have fitted on my cars, i.e. changed from 155 R 13 to 175/70 R 13 on
a Toledo and the tyres wore evenly showing no signs of either over inflation
(wears out the middle first) or under inflation (wears out both the inside
and outside edges of each tyre first). Any one else heard this and is it
relevant to your tyres, are they radial ply?
Graham.
