A COUPLE OF QUESTIONS I NEED SOME HELP ON WITH MY 75 (CF39711) I RECENTLY
PURCHASED:
1. IS THERE AN EASY WAY TO REACH WAY UP BEHIND THE REAR BUMPER TO REMOVE
THE BOLTS THAT HOLD IT ON? I AM HAVING A HARD TIME FINDING THE CORRECT/EASY
WAY TO DO THIS.
2. SUDDENLY (AND OF COURSE, SPORADICALLY) I GET IN THE CAR, START HER
RIGHT UP AND THE TEMPERATURE GUAGE, FUEL GUAGE AND TURN SIGNALS WILL NOT
WORK. JUST AS SUDDENLY, THEY'LL START WORKING. I'VE LOOKED AT THE
SCHEMATICS, BUT WITH MY LIMITED KNOWLEDGE OF EXACTLY HOW TO READ THE THINGS,
I CAN'T FOR THE LIFE OF ME DETERMINE WHY THESE 3 THINGS WOULD GO OUT
TOGETHER. ANY IDEAS?
3. I KNOW THAT AT SOME TIME I AM GOING TO HAVE TO CRAWL UNDER THE CAR TO
WORK ON SOMETHING -- EVEN IF IT'S ONLY TO CHANGE THE LUBRICANTS. I ALSO KNOW
THAT I'LL PROBABLY NEED TO USE A FLOOR JACK AND JACKSTANDS -- NONE OF WHICH I
HAVE RIGHT NOW. WHAT SIZE JACK DO I GET? WHERE DO I PLACE IT UNDER THE CAR
TO JACK IT UP? WHERE DO I PUT THE JACKSTANDS UNDER THE CAR SO NOTHING VITAL
GETS CRUSHED/DAMAGED? IS IT BEST TO PUT ALL 4 SIDES UP ON STANDS? AND WHAT
SIZE JACKSTANDS DO I GET? ALSO, I DID NOT GET THE ORIGINAL SCISSOR JACK
WHEN I PURCHASED THE CAR, BUT I DO HAVE A JACK THAT IS A BIT LARGE FOR THE
TRUNK -- I'D LIKE TO BUY THE MORE COMPACT SCISSOR TYPE JACK. VB WILL SELL ME
ONE FOR $199.95 (!) THAT LOOKS (PRETTY MUCH) JUST LIKE THE ONE NAPA IS
SELLING FOR $30.00. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE (AND DON'T SAY $169.95)?
ANY HELP ON THE ABOVE WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED.
