Joe,
        You need to remove the extension piece between the bootlid stay
bracket and the tank. You've already undone the bolt which connects it to
the tank, take out the two screws which hold the boot stay in place - this
will release the extension. When you've done this, support the bootlid  wide
open, and also make sure the grommet around the filler neck is removed
(easier said than done, and you'll possibly destroy the grommet in the
process!). You now need to force the drain plug extension up through the
hole in the bootfloor - once this is through you will be able to slide the
tank away from the wing. It's easier to do than to describe,
